how to stay positive

Positive thinking is more than a new trend. In recent years, there is more and more talk about positive thinking, the power of thought, the force of attraction of thoughts. Especially in the last year, due to the pandemic, maybe we felt more that we have to cling to something and stay with a positive thinking, in order to cope with the situation we are in. And even if we often feel discouraged and it seems that nothing good will happen in our life, we must have the strength to try to move forward.

The great Mahatma Gandhi said that “man is the product of his thoughts; he becomes what he thinks ”.

Below are some of the things I’ve done to help me stay positive. However, I recognize that it is an ongoing struggle, but it is worth going this way. It will change your life for the better.

SLEEP EARLIER

This is a very important thing because it influences how you start each day. Allowing yourself to sleep long enough can make a huge difference in how you feel in the morning. Sleeping gives our body time to rest and recover, at least 8 full hours is a good enough start.

To be able to fall asleep faster, you can use the following tricks: dim the lights in the room, take a reading book in bed, light some scented chopsticks, or listen to a podcast. (phone is forbidden !!).

AN ENVIRONMENT THAT INSPIRES YOU

If you want to be calm or to put your life in order, you have to start making order in the environment in which you live. The house must always be clean, tidy, the room in which you sleep must be airy and clean every day. Always have a relaxing and welcoming  environment.

SAY A PRAYER OF ACKNOWLEDGMENT IN THE MORNING AND EVENING

Try to make time to talk to God every morning before you open the phone (because it can distract you) so you can thank him that you could start a new day. Try to express your gratitude for what you have, for your health and for your family.

Also in the evening, before going to bed, take some time to thank God for the day you had and for watching and being with you. These prayers will give you a fantastic peace of mind and will help you in your process of positive thinking.

SMILE AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE.

A smile helps us move forward and see the world differently. Watch a comedy movie, listen to a stand-up show and hang out with people who will make you smile.

Fun reduces the amount of adrenaline in the body, so it reduces the agitation you feel, so without feeling so much agitation you are tempted to calm down. After you have calmed down, the mind can see solutions, not only problems.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

Successful people start with a deep faith in themselves. It has been shown that the importance of self-confidence is greater than intelligence, education or relationships in terms of life achievements. You must always trust yourself, in your own strength, to be convinced that you are capable of great success or that you can contribute something special.

Spend as much time as possible in the company of optimistic people! Surround yourself with positive people and stay away from negative people. Negative people only increase your stress level and will make you doubt yourself and your abilities.

THE DIARY OF YOUR THOUGHTS

Writing can help you a lot to relax. Here you can write all the negative thoughts you have and could not or did not have the courage to say. It can be a good opportunity to look back at what you’ve written and see if you’ve made any improvements. The diary can be used to keep up with your thoughts and help you reflect on how you spent your day.

JUST THINK OF THOSE AROUND YOU, FOCUS ON THEIR QUALITIES AND IGNORE THE FLAWS, NO ONE IS PERFECT
