12 Powerful Time Management Skills

Applying the right time management skills and techniques can help you be more organized and increase productivity. The more these tools you learn to use, the more work you will accomplish every day.

Create a Daily Plan

Plan your next day the night before. Or it’s best to plan your next day as the last thing you do at work. Write down the things you need to do and the approximate duration of their performance. So, knowing that what you need to do the next day, you will be able to have a peaceful sleep. A major reason for insomnia is the thought that we might forget something we have to do the next day.

Sleep at least 7-8 hours.

Some people believe that if they sleep less at night, they will have more time to complete tasks and thus increase productivity. This is not true. Most people need 7-8 hours of sleep for their bodies and minds to function optimally.

Use an Organizer

The organizer can help you master everything in life. It is your central tool for organizing information, to-do lists, projects and various other things you have to do.

Know Your Deadlines

When do you need to finish your tasks? Mark the deadlines out clearly in your calendar and organizer so you know when you need to finish them.

Complete most important tasks first

This is the most important rule of time management. Every day, identify the most important or difficult tasks to perform and do them first. Especially because in the first part of the day you have the highest level of productivity.

Learn to say “no”

Do not take more tasks than you can handle. You can postpone them to a later period.

Start Early

To increase productivity, start your day early. The more time you take to sit, think, and plan, the better organized you will be in every area of your life.

Seriously consider Internet/Games /Social media /TV

Spending time on  Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or playing games or watching TV can be one of the biggest productivity losses.

When you have important tasks to perform, I suggest that you do not get distracted by these little pleasures of relaxation. You will notice that the notion of time is lost when we are on the internet on social networks and the power to concentrate on work tasks will decrease.

Exercise and eat healthily

Many studies have linked a healthy lifestyle with work efficiency. Similar to getting enough sleep, healthy exercise and eating can increase energy levels, clear your mind, and make it easier to concentrate.

Do less

Basically, do less is another way of saying do the things that really matter.

Slow down, notice what needs to be done, and concentrate on those things. Do less things that create more value, rather than more things that are mostly empty.

Take a break

After each hour of work, please rest for at least 10 minutes. It’s time to dump her and move on. You can take a walk, have a coffee or a tea or meditate. You can do whatever you want, as long as it relaxes you.

Delegate

If something can be done by someone else or is not that important, consider delegation. This decreases a task and you can focus on important tasks.
